Full measure of joy

When shooting weddings you get a good sense of people's personalities and about family and friends relationships without even knowing them apart from that day. You get to work with all kinds of personalities, dive into their lives for the moment, so that everyone feels comfortable with your lens in their face or so that they act natural as you secretly shoot from a hidden area so as not to encroach on a great conversation or moment.

Even if I hadn't already known the bride of this weekend's wedding, I would have been able to see her love for her soon-to-be husband a mile away, and the groom's eyes and smile were always catching her when she wasn't looking. They both have met at the church where they married and there ceremony was sweet and meaningful. There was a full measure of love and joy shared by family and friends that shared in their day.

Thank you for asking me to be your photographer Juli.
Your a joy to work with – both at work and in life outside of work :)

... through the church door's peek hole I caught them expressing their happiness

Falling for your spouse – 50 years in a row

So I was asked to celebrate a tremendous effort of commitment and unconditional love by a lovely couple who have successfully made their marriage thrive for 50 years! We don't see too many marriages outlast the busyness, stress of today much anymore, but here's one couple who did – and my husband and I are committed to that promise as well. I was touched by the groom's speech at the close of their event when he shared how they've made it all these years – "No matter what, CHOOSE each day to be faithful and committed through life's ups and downs, like Christ's love." The outpouring of love from friends and family exemplified the couple's love for others also. Beautiful day, really. See for yourself.
